Lawn & Surface Drainage and Grading
EGS offers a variety of solutions, using different drainage components, such as: pop-up drains, channel drains, round grate drains, catch basin drains, atrium grates drains, various pipe drains, french drain, square grates drains, lawnscape outlets, and more.
Water is the enemy. Surface water should not be allowed to pool near the foundation of the building. Some potential issue that can arise in buildings with poor drainage include:
– concrete damage
In addition to functional gutters and downspouts, other means of redirecting water away from the building foundation include area drains, catch basins or trench drains. Eldredge can provide you with the right solutions to keep water where it belongs.

Protect your Foundation, Lawn, and Landscape with a Drainage System!
These divert stormwater away from your building’s foundation and can be installed in any area on your property that collects water. French drains are constructed with a perforated pipe, then gravel and filter fabric surrounds the pipe, similar to foundation drain systems.
Rounded Grates are often used in landscape areas, planter beds, window wells, or where debris like mulch and leaves might clog a flat grate. These grates are engineered to fit various sewer and drain pipes and fittings.
Pop-Up drainage Emitters act as the discharge point of a drainage system, opening easily when needed to allow water to flow freely from the pipe and away from structural foundations. The patented spring-loaded cap opens with the hydrostatic pressure of water flowing through the drain pipe, then closes as the flow subsides.
Atrium grates are most frequently used in landscape areas, planter beds, window wells, or where debris like mulch and leaves might clog a flat grate. Choose from our wide selection of round, square, poly, or brass atrium grates.
Catch basins connect to storm drainpipes. These plastic or metal structures (either round or rectangular) with metal grates on top capture debris that can clog pipes in a drain system.
The Flo-Well is a sustainable solution for stormwater runoff. Used independently or as part of a larger stormwater management system, these units collect, retain, and discharge stormwater on-site, serving as gravel-free alternative to a traditional dry well. Units are modular and can be connected in series or stacked to meet a variety of project needs.
Trench Drains/ Channel Drain
Trench drains capture stormwater flowing over a larger area like a driveway, and convey rainwater to the City’s storm drain system. These garden drains are best for areas such as:
- Garden edges and Garden drainage
- Pedestrian uses
